Sophie Mao has been practicing law since passing the Chinese Bar Examination in 1997. General corporate matters have been her major practice area, having not only counseled many enterprises, financial and medical institutions, but also advising on special projects organized by local governments.

Sophie has gradually shifted her focus on foreign direct investment and worked as counsel for numerous foreign invested enterprises.

Denis Diop has worked for several multi-national companies as in-house counsel and was Group Legal Counsel of an international software company that provides an accounting and valuation solution to banks in his last role.

He started his legal career in London and has subsequently worked and lived in Indonesia, Singapore and China.

Denis is dually qualified and admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales and the German Bar. He holds a PhD from Humboldt University in Berlin and a masters of international business law from Queen Mary University in London.
